This is THE fake workspace video. Backing up a NEXIS at the beginning or end of a show can be a pain. While newer APFS formatting allows for partition resizing post-format, it’s nice to be rid of that limitation as a project changes in size and scope. With the help of a simple Terminal command, you can trick Avid into looking at folders as if they’re NEXIS workspaces. I’ve used this technique on small indies to big budget features and it’s been effective every time.
